Muffle Project [Story Hook, Small Project for anyone interested]

Submission Type:

OOC NOTES:
This is open to all who wish to participate and is meant to be a small side-project to create IC enchanted talismans for guild members who want to harness a "Muffle" spell so that their clanking metal armor, metal parts on leather armor, or other similar 'noise-making' costume/jewelry is silenced for a time.

Goal:  Do stuff together.  Get to know others working on the project as well as for your own character development and RP fun.

Limitations once the talismans are made and the project is completed:

Invicta's ESO Forums!

Submission Type:

Right now, Invicta's ESO forums aren't very deep, mainly because I didn't want to throw a lot of empty forums at you before we grew.  Now that we're growing more rapidly, I'd like to change that!

So!  What forums would you like to see for ESO?  Post your replies here!

The only sounds were the clop clopping of the horses’ hooves, the faint call of night birds and the occasional rumble of sleeping beasts. The woods dark on either side of her a faint glow on the Eastern horizon as she rode on. Aly’sande had managed to slip out of the Manor gate unseen walking the horse for more than a mile in the dark before she kicked him into a canter.

Author's note: I originally started this as a character sketch to get a better feel for Viatryx, and it became a full blown short story.  I did my best to stay as close to the lore as I know how while still being true to my own writing style and character.  As always all things Elder Scrolls are the property of Bethesda.  Also tagged NSFW for language, violence and some slight suggestive theming.

A few questions about ESO

Submission Type:

A few questions for ESO

Some of you know that Melkaio and me are RL buddies who like to level characters together in every games we play. What turned us off from ESO previously was the way grouping worked (or didn't actually)
and the dungeons that were all based on the same plan with different textures and props (Come on! How lazy can that be!). Those two things sucked the fun out of our experience. Close second was pvp where you have to ride 10 minutes to get back in battle, that pretty muched killed it for me.

But with Invicta:SWTOR coming to an end, we might start looking for new options, as 7 years of the same thing and contless alts later, it may just be the time to move on for us as well.

Invicta Development Strategy in ESO

Submission Type:

What follows is a basic outline of where I see things going with the guild as we continue to expand.  The intent here is to keep the structure of the guild only as complex as necessary, while allowing for a variety of ranks and positions to expand as the guild expands.  This development strategy is (mostly) OOC!  If you ask Aurelius ICly about where he plans to take things, he's got this as a vague idea in his head, but doesn't have things written out like this.  Its also important to note that this outline can and will change as necessary... if we just don't have that many non-combatants, for example, the Logistics side of things may stay relatively small while we expand the military side of things.  If we have someone who is more of an ambassadorial character join the guild, we might open the Ambassadorial Division early and so on.

Closing up shop on ESO

Submission Type:

In the end, ESO just didn't live up to what I'd hoped it to be (an online version of Skyrim), so I've canceled my subscription. As I think we've maybe two other people who log in with any regularity there, I don't plan to work out a transfer of leadership. I don't think I'm giving up on MMOs altogether, but haven't entirely settled elsewhere yet. Once I do, I'll make sure to get word out.
Sorry gang!

This review is quite amusing - I am wondering if it is accurate? Should I skip the newbie Island?

Hola! /endlurking (OOC)

Submission Type:

Hola All,
I hope all of you have been well these past few years since we have last seen each other. I have been well, thanks for asking. hehe

I was thinking of trying to get back in the game, as it were. I see we are active in ToR and ESO, which has more active players?

My inclination is to try something new (ESO) plus it looks like Zilda/Kem only plays ESO!! I hope you wouldn't mind me sitting around again!!

Anyway.

I still think of all of you as my extended gaming family. From SWG to Invicta you have always made me feel welcome, and I thank you for that.

Oh - Sanja I almost forgot - I still have a bag of eyeballs from AoC I have kept in the freezer all these years - still want them?

My deal in ESO

Submission Type:

Alright, so here's the thing... I miss the hell out of you guys and want to play ESO with you, so I've set up a guild Daggerfall-side and will be inviting you in as I see you. I plan to start doing a little light RP in the guild next week.
My time, however, is still pretty limited. I'm still running a 40+ player LARP every other Saturday and it takes a ton of prep, so the week that the LARP is happening, my free time for MMOs is pretty slim. The week its _not_ happening, I should be on much more. This will likely last through November or so, then I'll have a break until March again (unless we decide to end it with Chronicle 2, which is very, very possible).
I just wanted y'all to know where I was at and why my time online might be limited a bit. Still looking forward to hanging with y'all and enjoying ESO!

Making a Go at Elder Scrolls Online

Submission Type:

Alright, as some of you might've noticed, I've a hankering to get back into MMOs and I'll be making a go at Elder Scrolls Online. If you're planning to play, interested in playing or just curious, click the 'groups' link at the top and join the Elder Scrolls Online group. That'll give you access to the ESO forums and allow you to join the discussion there.
Yes, this means I'm intending to open an Invicta chapter there. The basic concept of the guild will be very familiar to those of you who played Age of Conan with us... the Invicta Mercenary Company. Until I've really dug into things (tomorrow! I picked up early access), I don't have a ton more details. If you're interested, join that group and we'll discuss more in the ESO forums.
I'd love to play with you guys again! Been missing y'all tons!
